HOW DO WE HELP?

Let’s be the sponsor of a teacher in the Sacred Valley!

Through the Leadership Program, Enseña Peru attracts, recruits and selects diverse professionals to work as public teachers for two years, with constant support and tools for pedagogy, leadership, and systemic change.

Enseña Peru Professionals (PEP) grow in four educational leadership competencies and become agents of change who work collectively for the educational transformation of Peru. They develop, first, the ability to achieve extraordinary results with their students, and then, as graduates, the potential to carry out systemic reforms and innovations from their different professions.

Meet Anderson Yauri.

He is 27 years old and has a degree in Education. Last year, he applied and was selected to be part of our Leadership Program at Enseña Peru.

This experience led him to start a journey at the Sacred Valley in Cusco. There, he is the teacher of 25 students that are finishing elementary school.

Beyond that, Anderson has worked hand in hand with the educational community to promote a project on school violence in order to cause a long-term change.

Together we can ensure that he continues generating an impact on more lives of students with transcendental education.

 About us

Alpaca blankets, scarves, and shawls made with love in Peru.

A socially responsible company.

Our history and goal

There’s no doubt that Peru is synonymous with the Andes. From north to south, the mountains of Peru offer a stunning and unique combination of natural beauty, mythical history, kind people, and endless opportunities for adventure. Here Muyu Alpaca is born.

Native to the Peruvian Andes, Alpacas are known as beautiful South American camelids. They were treasured by the Incas, have since become essential to the development of the Andean Region, and continue to be a meaningful part of our culture. This is what inspired Muyu Alpaca.

Alpacas famously produce some of the finest, silkiest, and most versatile fibers found in nature. Their wool is three times stronger and seven times warmer than sheep, has insulating properties, and a beautiful shine that comes in more than 22 natural colors. Additionally, Alpaca wool is naturally hypoallergenic with no oils, fats, or lanolin. Products made of Alpaca Wool is what Muyu Alpaca is about.

In Peru, Alpacas are raised and cared for by communities in the Andean Region. While these families continue to produce one of the finest wools in the world, their lives have not improved over time; on the contrary, they have become the most vulnerable citizens in Peru. Helping rural communities is what motivates us.

At Muyu Alpaca, we believe in the power of quality and inclusive education for all.

Join us on this alpaca adventure as we revolutionize education for Peruvian children.
